MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — In February, two women have been arrested for sexually abusing minors. On Feb. 5, WKRG News 5 brought you the story of ______ a former Ruckel Middle School teacher charged with having a sexual relationship with a student. On Feb. 16, ______ was charged with sexually abusing a young child. Research shows women make up a small percentage of sexual predators.
Research into sex offenders historically mostly focused on men. The Department of Justice reports the first articles on female sex offenders didn’t even appear until the 1980s.
WKRG News 5 sat down with Mobile Child Advocacy Center Executive Director Andy Wynne. He said, “All the research indicates it’s probably 10 percent of the perpetrators are women.”
When it comes to female sex offenders, there isn’t too much information. The National Center for Biotechnology Information published a medical journal saying: “Women are usually portrayed as victims and as being passive, innocent…”
It continues describing how traditional gender stereotypes can make it difficult for people to imagine a woman as a sex offender.
Well its about time Janice bring something to this forum about women or should we all take note of the movie/video ” The temptations of Eve”. While views of men and women are different. Women are no better than men. If you will notice in the temptations of Eve. While women do have their downfalls I’m sure we all do. Yet we all have responsibilities.
Now I’m not gone to say anything good or bad about Janice but she does have her vocation with her constitutional law and so does her team. Should we say women enticed man or man enticed women. While we all I’m sure have mixed reviews with this article we are here for Justice, truth, and understanding.
Sure emotions can run wild and yes one can get caught up in much of this ordeal as this article presents but if we say we have no sin than we deceive ourselves. I am sure from the article one can get two different prospectives of a physical encounter to a computerized typed encounter in these faults. I’m sure the many view’s will be interesting.
I suspect the simple truth is that women do, in fact, commit fewer sex offenses than men.
And I would guess that, of those sexual offenses committed by women, fewer are reported & prosecuted.
